    Blackwood Lake is a lake worth visiting. This lake is so wonderful. Drift down the rapids of Soleduck River in a kayak; camping at Hoh Campground is always a great experience. Going for a hike on the Canyon Creek Hoh Trail is always a pleasant adventure, and if you're here, you could also stop at lovely Mink Lake. The high level of rain makes Blackwood Lake a relatively wet place; the month with most of the rain is November while July is mostly the driest month.
 
   This lake is so wonderful. If you need a place to stay Lake Quinault Lodge is a great choice, and Ring Lake is a nearby lake that you could check out. This lake is located in the wonderful Olympic Mountains. Having a magnificent time in the Olympic Mountains is uncomplicated. Slide Peak is clearly visible from Blackwood Lake, and lots of people from Port Angeles come here.
High temperatures at Blackwood Lake all through the months of summer are in the 70's
 
               while nighttime lows are regularly in the 40's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Blackwood Lake. Near Blackwood Lake you come across the Lovers Lane which is a perfect hiking trail, and get soaked paddling on Soleduck River - North Fork.
But wait, there's more enjoyable things to do in the Olympic Mountains. There is a glorious hiking trail close to Blackwood Lake called the Mink Lake Trail, and if you came to camp Soleduck Campground is a nice site to do that. So many enjoyable things to do here at Blackwood Lake, too nice to be true. Dry warm beds await you at Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort, and Bogachiel Park is a wonderful location to stretch your legs a bit.

I just love Whiskey Creek Beach. I have been going here for years and now I take my mother every year for 5 days and she loves it also. My daughter and grandchildren have been here and they love it also. It is a great rustic family place. We relax listening to the ebbing tides at night, collect rocks and shells, roast marshmallows for smores and just have fun. Last time we fount a great fishing hole and handicap assessable and it had fire rings bathrooms tables camping sites right down the road. From WCB. You need to try this place if you REALLY want to relax....

I don't think it is as difficult as you say. The trail is well defined, and as a day hike last weekend it took less than 6 hours to do the loop from happy lake trailhead, around boulder lake, past the hot springs and back to my car....

lilly lake has a nice area to camp amd you can go swimming, have a nice nature hike, see a lot of different animals like birds,deer,beavers and squrels.And dont forget bug repelant, there are lots of bugs.You might see other people on the trails and mabye at the lake. You can ride horses up to lilly lake or hike with a friend or dog. Just have fun....

Rugged Ridge Trail

The distance came up as 3.2mi (or 4.6k) on our map. That was to the River. Nice hike....I just hiked half of this trail on January 20,2008. It's a beautiful quiet trail thru lush forest. Trailhead is difficult to find. From Route 101 in Forks take FR 29. After 11.3 mi take a right onto FR 2913 for 2.2 mi to the end where the trail starts....
