This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant journey to Bogachiel Park is a great way to spend an afternoon; there's wonderful hiking along the Canyon Creek Hoh Trail. For the period of the long summer days at Blackwood Lake highs are ordinarily in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 40's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and night lows at Blackwood Lake through the wintertime usually plunge into the 30's. There's no way someone can get

| | bored here in the Olympic Mountains. Don't leave Blackwood Lake without first going for a hike along the Mink Lake Trail; a good nearby hotel is Sol Duc Hot Springs Resort. Blackwood Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; the wettest month of the year is usually November, that's the one that rains the most, and July is when it's the driest. Lovers Lane. This lake is so wonderful. Soleduck Campground is a good local campground, and at Blackwood Lake you can see Slide Peak. After a long day outdoors Lake Quinault Lodge is a great site to spend a night or two, of course
you could also stop by Ring Lake since you're here; it's not far at all. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Blackwood Lake. Hoh Campground is a pleasant campground nearby, and whitewater paddling is not for everyone
but if it's for you then, we recommend Soleduck River. This lake is located in the wonderful Olympic Mountains. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is abundant here in the Olympic Mountains. Here at Blackwood Lake you'll almost
certainly meet some folks from Port Angeles; Blackwood Lake is not the only location close by, Mink Lake is a close by lake.

My daughter and grandchildren have been here and they love it also. It is a great rustic family place. We relax listening to the ebbing tides at night, collect rocks and shells, roast marshmallows for smores and just have fun. Last time we fount a great fishing hole and handicap assessable and it had fire rings bathrooms tables camping sites right down the road. From WCB.
