Lakes are such calm places, why not go to Stitch Lake close to Blackmans Lake; a quick tour to Pilchuck River is certainly a pleasant idea. If you came to camp Lake Connor Park is a great place to do that, and dry warm beds await you at Best Western Cascadia Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Stillaguamish River - South Fork has a perfect whitewater paddling spot nearby. There's so much to do here at Blackmans Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Snohomish

in the 40's; winter nights come with lows in the 30's to Blackmans Lake. Paddling on Canyon Creek South Fork Stillaguamish Tributary is so much fun; you'll meet a lot of folks from Seattle-Tacoma-Bellevue here. This lake is so wonderful.
Blackmans Lake is a rather wet place commonly with lots of rain; through December this area sees the most rain, and the driest month of the year is July. A nice swamp near Blackmans Lake is Batt Slough, and Holiday Inn DOWNTOWN-EVERETT is a magnificent place to get some rest.

 | 15 miles away WE USED TO FISH HUNT AND FOURWHEEL AT THE LAKE...We used to ride dirt bikes in the early 70's up to lake fontal, lotsa fun. I remember the cabins and little store that was up there when I was a kid in the 60's....I used to fish on Lake Fontal but now there isn't any fish.Warning: Lake Fontal Road is a dead end that does not lead to Lake Fontal. The lake is definitely not worth the trouble....We used to ride hores into lake fontal in the late 60's. There used to be a small resort there, complete with cabins, boat rentals,always a huge party opening weekend..(?) big foot sightings in the area...could of been the micro-dot.... |
