Black and White Lakes is a beautiful lake in the Olympic Mountains. And that's not all you can do here at Black and White Lakes. Hiking along the Royal Creek Trail is great fun; going for a hike along the Baldy Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. A large amount of precipitation falls at Black and White Lakes; December is the wettest month       with most rain; the driest month is July. All through the warmest time of the year, highs usually are in the 70's at Black and White Lakes, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 40's. The wintertime comes with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Black and White Lakes. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Skokomish River - North Fork; you're most likely addicted to lakes, Smith                  Lake is one of those close by. Now, you may think that's a heap but there's even more fun things to do here in the Olympic Mountains. Take a hike on the Elwha River Trail. There's so much to do here at Black and White Lakes that you need to camp here for a while, Brown Creek Campground is a great spot for that. Here at Black and White Lakes you can see Mount Cruiser.
