     Get your pulse rate up on the magnificent whitewater of Yellowjacket Creek; on a great day you can take a hike along the Purcell Mountain Trail. Black Rock Pond is one of the lakes here in the Northern Cascade Range. That right there is lots of entertaining stuff already but it goes on, the Northern Cascade Range has it all. Nearby lakes? Sure, Tower Rock Beaver Ponds is close to Black Rock Pond; you're in all probability addicted to lakes, Lone Tree Lake is one  
   of those close by.
This lake is so wonderful. Don't forget to take a good little journey to Camp Creek, and going for a hike along the Pompey Peak Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this neighborhood. But wait, there's more to do in close proximity to Black Rock Pond. There's whitewater on Cispus River for all you thrill seekers, and why not camp at Pole Patch Campground while you're here at Black Rock Pond. Camping is available at Maple Leaf Campground,
 
               and if the weather is perfect, you can go for a hike along the Klickitat Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Northern Cascade Range, you might not ever wanna go back home again. After a long day outdoors Rodeway Inn Stevenson is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and if you have time to spare, Mount Rainier National Park is a national park worth a visit. Black Rock Pond mostly gets a great deal of rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and the driest of the months is July.
Summertime highs at Black Rock Pond frequently tend to be in the 70's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's ordinarily in the 40's. During the winter this place gets highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Black Rock Pond.

Hi, I have tried to climb this mountain, but the there are very little trail markers and the Columbian write ups on directions were not even close to actuality. I am trying to locate specific directions since there are several different forks. You have all these coordinates but if you don't have or use a GPS they are useless. Alas, you can't help me anymore than what's available out there, which is nothing really....

July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving....
