Golf can be played at Peninsula Golf Course; on a fine day you can       take a hike along the Cannon Beach Trail. You'll come across a beautiful lake called O'Neil Lake near Black Lake, and if you're looking for some flowing water? Try Wallacut River. If you want a splendid time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Olympic Mountains. A visit to Fort Clatsop National Memorial is worthwhile, and a glorious close by hotel is Long Beach Super 8 Motel. This lake is so wonderful. All the water falling down from the sky makes Black Lake a wet spot; most of the rain falls through December while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. High temperatures at Black Lake through the warm days of summer are in the 60's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 40's.
