This lake is so wonderful. This lake is so wonderful. There are nice places to discover along the North Fork Twentymile Trail, and Chewuch River has a delightful whitewater paddling spot close by. And if that's not sufficient there's lots more entertaining things to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you need a location to stay Americas Best Value Inn-Winthrop is a brilliant choice; glorious hiking is available along the Smarty Creek Trail.
A glorious close

Black Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. Not much rain falls here at Black Lake; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most snow, and the driest of the months is July. Just can't get enough of the Northern Cascade Range. Go for a hike on the North Twentymile Trail, and Cold Creek is near Black Lake and is always a joy to stop at.
Dutton Lakes is a nearby lake that you could stop at; why not camp at Andrews Creek Campground since you're here at Black Lake.
