Big Joes Lake is always a pleasure to visit. A brilliant nearby hotel is Kalaloch Lodge, and camping at Big Joes Lake is nice fun, Angler's Hideaway is a nice local campground. Big Joes Lake sees pretty high levels of precipitation; during the month of December you get the most rain around here while August is commonly the driest month. Coho Resort-rv Park and Marina is a pleasant campground here, and getting to Barbour Creek from Big Joes Lake is trouble-free.

| | This lake is so wonderful. A great place for whitewater paddling right next door to Big Joes Lake is Calawah River, and the Allens Bay Trail offers hiking at its best. Big Joes Lake is located in the Olympic Mountains. For the period of the days of summer at Big Joes Lake temperatures are generally in the 60's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 40's. During the winter the highs are regularly in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight | |
