Bennettsen Lake is a place with many visitors from Shelton. Throughout the summer months here at Bennettsen Lake, high temperatures frequently reach the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down       to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 40's; through the dark hours in the wintertime at Bennettsen Lake temperatures descend to the 30's. Man, is there lots of enjoyable stuff to do in the neighborhood of Bennettsen Lake. Get your pulse rate up on the splendid whitewater of Duckabush River, and you can stay the night at Park Place On Hood Canal. This lake is so wonderful. Bennettsen Lake is a good site to visit for more than one day, Snooze Junction                  RV Park is a good site to camp nearby, and you can run the rapids of Dosewallips River. All the water falling down from the sky makes Bennettsen Lake a wet place; December is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month is July. Going for a hike along the Mount Jupiter Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Bennettsen Lake Dam is a gorgeous place.
