and on a splendid day you can take a hike along the Mount Defiance Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Commonwealth Campground is a good local campground, and going for a hike along the Middle Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural
beauty of this neighborhood. This lake is so wonderful. Salish Lodge And Spa is a glorious site to get some rest, and paddling on Taylor River is so much fun. All through the summertime, highs regularly are in the 70's at Bear
Lakes, and throughout the night it cools down to the 50's. Daytime highs throughout the wintertime are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Bear Lakes drop into the 30's. Whitewater paddling is brilliant on Money Creek; if you came for an overnight stay West Fork Campground is a splendid place to camp.

Honey Lake
 | The lake no longer has any trails to it. All trails are gone from nature reclaiming it. The only way into lake is through quartz creek road(no vehicles)2.5 miles. From there it is a bushwack up to the ridge(2000 ft). From the ridge you can see honey lake. 1000 feet down. The bush is thick in that area (45 degree angle going up and down(or it seem that steep). 15 years ago some guys fished out the lake in one day. Before tha the fish were between 18 to 24 inches rainbow. If you can make it you deserve the good fishing. Haven't fished there in 20 years it may not have any fish in it or it has big fish (I dont know never made it close enough recently to fish). Good luck.

With four unique base areas and less than an hour from Seattle on Interstate 90, no other resort in the country offers so much variety with this much convenience. Consider it a buffet for the outdoor enthusiast! For the third year in a row, we stayed open longer than any other resort in the state, this season through Memorial Day. What can we say? We love spring skiing as much as you do! So if you're looking for a true escape this winter, look no further than The Summit. Just around the corner... ...A MILLION MILES AWAY!... |

Stephens Pass
 | 12 miles away 1 PHOTO Stevens has a wide diversity of trails and runs that suits every riding style. From beginner to expert and for those terrain park junkies Stevens has you covered. I think what's special about Stevens is you can find your own little part of the mountain which is all yours, I have 4-5 little runs that cross between trails and off-piste that are all mine. Also the snow is crazy good, powder almost all the time. My favorite runs are Orion, some tree skiing near wall street, and right above the power lines. Stevens also has some pretty sweet out of bounds stuff to so check it out... |
