Hiking along the Pacific Crest Trail - section 26 is nice fun, and needless to say Sun Creek flows through this region. The high level of precipitation makes Battalion Lake a pretty wet spot; the wettest month of the year is mostly November, that's the one that rains the most; July is when it's the driest. After a long day outdoors Adventure Inn is a brilliant location to spend a night or two, and a glorious forest nearby       is Chelan Ranger District. Yep, outdoors entertaining things truly is bountiful here in the Northern Cascade Range. Battalion Lake is right by the Park Creek Trail; camping is available at Company Creek Campground. At Battalion Lake throughout the warm days of summer highs are in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures plunge down into the 50's. Throughout the winter this place gets highs in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Battalion                  Lake temperatures drop to the 20's. Battalion Lake beyond doubt is in the middle of a stunning outdoors paradise. Camping at High Bridge Campground is always a brilliant experience, and get your pulse rate up on the delightful whitewater of Stehekin River. If you want a delightful time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Northern Cascade Range. This lake is so wonderful. The Rainbow Lake Trail offers hiking at its best, and you can run the rapids of Granite Creek.
