This lake is so wonderful. Mt.Baker has tremendous slopes and a friendly staff. But wait, there's more to do close to Barney Lake. Lots of people from Mount Vernon-Anacortes come to Barney Lake, and whitewater paddling is great on Pilchuck Creek. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby Ten Lake, and a tremendous place to camp here at Barney Lake is Big Lake Resort. Dry warm beds await you at Hampton Inn Suites Burlington; of course East Fork Nookachamps Creek is a beautiful stream that is worth a visit. The Northern Cascade Range scenery is always beautiful. Mud Lake is a lake around here; playing golf is lots of fun at Eaglemont Golf Course. All through the summertime at Barney Lake highs are mostly in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures sink down into the 50's. The cold days
of the wintertime come with highs in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Barney Lake. This lake is so wonderful. Barney Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Riverbend RV Park is a brilliant local
campground, and if time allows, Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a national park worth checking out. The amount of rain that falls at Barney Lake is close to the national average; through November this area sees the most rain, and July meanwhile is the driest month.
