    The beauty of Barney Lake is reason enough to stop by. Barney Lake gets a typical amount of yearly precipitation; through the month of November you get the most rain around here while July is usually the driest month. Summertime at Barney Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Through the winter highs are in the 40's, and overnight lows in the 30's for Barney Lake. Now, you may imagine that's lots but  
   there's even more fun stuff to do here at Barney Lake. You're possibly into lakes, Beaver Lake is one of those close by; folks from Mount Vernon-Anacortes love to come here.
Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a glorious national park, and enjoy a round of golf at Eaglemont Golf Course. All year is a great time in the Northern Cascade Range if you have a thing about the outdoors. Take a little trip to East Fork Nookachamps Creek since you're here at Barney
 
               Lake, and one of the overriding marks of the surroundings of Barney Lake is Big Rock. This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Mt.Baker is one of those things you just ought to do.

Barney Lake is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Big Lake Resort is a brilliant local campground, and if you come at the right time of year, Pilchuck Creek offers some splendid whitewater.
