If you are traveling by, why not stop by Barnes Lake. Man, is there a load of fun things to do in the Olympic Mountains. After a long day outdoors Red Lion Hotel Olympia is a good spot to spend a night or two; Best Western Tumwater Inn is a brilliant spot to get some rest. If you're interested in hydro structures, you can stop by Tumwater Falls Dam, and you can stay the night at Allimor Carriage Estates. This lake is so wonderful. Bush Prairie is a pretty location

| | any time of year. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Barnes Lake has to offer, you can camp at Olympia Campgrounds.
This lake is so wonderful. You just have to like the Olympic Mountains. If you're here at Barnes Lake, do take a visit to Capitol Point, and while you're here you can play some golf at Tumwater Valley Municipal Golf Course. Lake you will meet lots of people from close by Olympia, as expected you could also stop at Capitol Lake since you're here; it's not far at all.
Some nearby water includes Deschutes River, and a lake nearby is Trosper Lake. Barnes
Lake is a wet spot that gets much rainfall; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain; July is the month with the least moisture. All through the long summer days here at Barnes Lake, high temperatures regularly
reach the 70's with nighttime lows in the 50's. Daytime highs through the winter are in the 40's, and after the sun is down during the winter temperatures at Barnes Lake drop into the 30's.
Barnes Lake is located in the Olympic Mountains.
