This place, the Northern Cascade Range, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. There's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Stephens Pass, and a good location for whitewater paddling is Skykomish River - South Fork. All the water falling down from the sky makes Barclay Lake a wet place; of all the months in a year December is the one with the most rain, and July is the month with the least moisture. This       lake is so wonderful. Going for a hike along the Middle Fork Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area; on a perfect day you can take a hike along the Mount Defiance Trail. And that's not all you can do here at Barclay Lake. Barclay Lake is not the only place nearby, Klinger Lake is a nearby lake, and since you're here you can take a hike along the Pratt Lake Trail. Barclay Lake is a beautiful lake in the Northern Cascade Range. Camping                  at West Fork Campground is always a great experience; a lake nearby is Eagle Lake. If you need a spot to stay Salish Lodge And Spa is a tremendous choice, and one of the governing marks of the surroundings of Barclay Lake is Baring Mountain. This lake is so wonderful. Do set aside some time for Paradise Meadow since you're here at Barclay Lake; Money Creek is a magnificent whitewater spot close by. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range, not enough time. Alpental has good slopes and a friendly staff, and camping is available at San Juan Campground. All through the summer months at Barclay Lake temperatures are typically in the 70's with night lows in the 50's.
