Balch Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. This lake is so wonderful. Good hiking is available along the Cedar Creek Trail, and a spree to Balch Lake wouldn't be complete without taking a look at Dixon Spring. Man, is there loads of exciting stuff to do in the Northern Cascade Range. If you need a place to stay The Dalles Super 8 Motel is a pleasant choice, and a wonderful place to camp here at Balch Lake is Columbia River Gorge Camping.

| | Yeah, come here to Balch Lake for a wonderful time. Dry warm beds await you at Cousins Country Inn, and there are magnificent places to look at along the Fifteenmile Creek Trail. Balch Lake sees pretty high levels of rain; the month with most of the snow is December, and July is when it's the driest. You just have to go for the Northern Cascade Range. experience. This lake is so wonderful. If you're popping by Balch Lake from Hood River, you won't be the only one, and Rattlesnake Creek has a brilliant whitewater paddling spot nearby. A pleasant visit to Rocky Flat is a pleasant
way to spend an afternoon, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always stop by nearby McClure Lake. Balch Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range. All through the warmest time of the year highs here at Balch
Lake reach the 80's with overnight lows in the 40's. For the period of the winter highs are in the 30's with temperatures at Balch Lake dipping down into the 20's during winter nights. Some of the water nearby flows, like Rowena
Creek. If you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Klickitat River, and don't leave Balch Lake without first going for a hike along the Bottle Prairie Trail.
