Very stunning scenery and fine skiing is what you get at Bluewood, and a trip to Government Spring will fill your spirit with brilliant feelings. Alder Thicket Campground is a fine campground nearby, and since you're here, you could also stop by lovely Beaver Lake. This lake is so wonderful. You'll hit upon a scenic lake called Deer Lake near Baker Pond; whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then, we recommend Grande Ronde River. Baker Pond

All through the warmest time of the year, highs commonly are in the 80's at Baker Pond; during summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. Baker Pond; Bear Creek Trail is a great local trail; you can stay the night at Pataha Campground. The North Fork Asotin Creek Trail offers hiking at its best. And if that's not enough, there's plenty more to do in close proximity
to Baker Pond. Arbothknott Canyon is close to Baker Pond and is certainly a nice location to stop by, and there's good hiking along the Tucannon River Trail.
