     The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Aurora Lake while night lows are commonly in the 50's. High temperatures through the wintertime are normally in the 40's with winter lows in the 30's overnight here at Aurora Lake. This lake is so wonderful. In case you don’t have a problem getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Silver Creek, and Mounthaven Resort is a good local campground. A gorgeous lake like Lake George close to Aurora  
   Lake is a perfect place to stop by, and from Aurora Lake you get a wonderful sight of Aurora Peak.
This is no place for people who don’t like to enjoy themselves. Saint Andrews Lake is a glorious lake near Aurora Lake; if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Paul Peak Trail. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Northern Cascade Range. If you haven’t been to Mount Rainier National Park, you ought to schedule some time
 
               for it since you're here; the Big Creek Trail is a great hiking trail nearby. Do set aside some time for Saint Andrews Park if you're here at Aurora Lake; if you need a spot to stay Econo Lodge Buckley is a magnificent choice.
The high level of precipitation makes Aurora Lake a rather wet spot; the wettest month of the year is frequently November, that's the one that rains the most, and the driest month of the year is July. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the cool things in the Northern Cascade Range. On a perfect day at Aurora Lake you can take a hike along the Ipsut Creek Trail; Longmire Campground is a magnificent campground nearby. This lake is so wonderful. Crystal Mountain is a great local ski area, and Skate Creek is a brilliant whitewater spot close by.
Aurora Lake is located in the Northern Cascade Range. Dry warm beds await you at Kings Valu Inn.

July 19, 2008-- We hiked up to Mt. Beljica this date. I would not recommend it just yet because of the unusually heavy snowfall last winter, unless you're very familiar with the trail. The entire trail is still snow covered from Lake Christine on up to the top of Mt. Beljica. We lost the trail, and then found it again.... that was a bit unnerving....
