At Atherns Pond throughout the long summer days highs are in the 70's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. All through the winter the highs are usually in the 40's, and nighttime lows at Atherns Pond throughout the winter ordinarily sink into the 30's. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes? Sure, Ferguson Ponds is nearby, and do go to Cavanaugh Creek if you're here at Atherns Pond. What a place this is for outdoors       people. If you came to camp Riverview Park is a glorious site to do that; you can run the rapids of Skookum Creek. Since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always explore nearby Duck Pond, and dry warm beds await you at Snowwater Condos. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Northern Cascade Range. Atherns Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Wildwood Resort is a great local campground. So many fun things in the Northern                  Cascade Range, just mind-boggling. A brilliant place for whitewater paddling near Atherns Pond is Nooksack River - South Fork, and during your trip here you'll meet some folks from Mount Vernon-Anacortes for sure. Lake Chelan National Recreation Area is a tremendous local destination here at Atherns Pond; if you need a place to stay Fairfield Inn and Suites by Marriott Burlington is a good choice. Atherns Pond is located in the Northern Cascade Range.
