     Dusty Lake is a nearby lake that you could pop by; Ancient Lake is a delightful site to visit for more than one day, Quincy Valley Golf is a delightful site to camp nearby. This lake is so wonderful. If you get bored of Ancient Lake, you could also visit close by Cliff Lake; get dripping wet paddling on Sand Hollow Creek. The warmest time of the year at Ancient Lake comes with high temperatures in the 80's. Once the sun is down it descends down to the 50's. Highs  
   through the winter are commonly in the 30's, and during the dark hours in the winter at Ancient Lake temperatures descend to the 20's. Ancient Lake is generally a pretty arid place; December is the wettest month with most snow, and the driest of the months is July.
