American Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Swamps don’t sound that great but Elliot Marsh near American Lake is relatively great, and if you need a place to stay Thornewood Castle Inn And Gardens is a fine choice. American Lake generally gets a good deal of rainfall; through the month of December you get the most rain around here while July is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summer at American Lake arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. For the period of the dark hours of summer temperatures dip down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 40's, and overnight lows through the winter for American Lake tend to be in the 30's. This lake is so wonderful.
