You'll need more than a day to explore everything Alta Lake has to offer, you can camp at Kachess - Wenatchee National Forest, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Loup Loup Ski Bowl. High temperatures at Alta Lake through the warmest time of the year are in the 80's, and all through the night it cools down to the 40's.
