Holiday Inn Express Hotel & Suites CHENEY-UNIVERSITY AREA is a fine place to get some rest, and you'll meet a lot of people from Pullman here. A day at stunning Johnsons Beach close to Alkali Lake is a glorious thing to do; close by you hit upon The Arm. This lake is so wonderful. A nice nearby hotel is Willow Springs Motel near EWU, and why not camp at       Peaceful Pines Camp Ground while you're here at Alkali Lake. Around Alkali Lake you don’t get a lot of precipitation; through December this area sees the most snow, and the driest month is July. A great spot to camp here at Alkali Lake is Williams Lake Resort. Lakes are good; Campbell Pond is a lake that's close to Alkali Lake. At Alkali Lake during the warm months highs are in the 80's while night lows are mostly in the 40's.
