A pretty lake like Fryberg Lake in the vicinity of Lake Agnes is a fine site to go to, and a good close by hotel is Arlington Motor Inn. Pilchuck Creek has a glorious whitewater paddling spot nearby, and you're sure to bump into some fine folks from Mount Vernon-Anacortes here.
