Many people like to go to Youngs Brook Reservoir. Youngs Brook Reservoir is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not ever wanna return back home again. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Pico Mountain; if you're here you can take a hike along the Keewaydin Trail. at Killington, and enjoy a round of golf at Rutland Country Club. The Green Mountain Trail is a fine hiking trail in the vicinity of Youngs Brook Reservoir, and why not a little side trip to Ira Brook. This lake is so wonderful.
If you feel like a little side journey, try Whipple Hollow; there's always Youngs Brook Dam to stop at in the vicinity of Youngs Brook Reservoir. Youngs Brook Reservoir is a good place of typical rainfall; August is when you get the
most rain here, and February is the month with the least moisture. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Youngs Brook Reservoir has to offer, you can camp at Hapgood Pond - Green Mountain National Forest, and Muddy Pond
