Do stop by Woodward Reservoir while you're in this part of Vermont. Woodward Reservoir is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. The peak of Allens Hill can be made out from Woodward Reservoir; why not take a refreshing hike along the Bucklin Trail. Just can't get enough of the Green Mountains. A tremendous site to camp here at Woodward Reservoir is Plymouth Village Campground; an interesting thing to pop by next to Woodward Reservoir

gets a great deal of precipitation; August is the month that gets the most rain, and the driest month of the year is February. And that's not all the things to do here in the Green Mountains. Take a hike on the Circle Trail, and
lots of people from Rutland come here. High temperatures at Woodward Reservoir during the long summer days are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in
the 30's; during the dark hours in the winter at Woodward Reservoir temperatures drop to the 10's. Why not camp at Coolidge State Park since you're here at Woodward Reservoir, and Killington Grand Resort Hotel is a magnificent spot
to get some rest. What a location this is for outdoors folks. If you come at the right time of year, White River offers some good whitewater, and there are swamps here too, Black Swamp is in the vicinity. And if that's not enough
there's heaps more amusing stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Pico Mountain is a splendid local ski area; soar down the rapids of Mill River in a kayak. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the neighborhood of Woodward
Reservoir. The skiing at Killington is fine, and after a long day outdoors Mountain Green Ski & Golf Resort is a pleasant site to spend a night or two.
