A normal amount of rain falls here at Lake Willoughby; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain while February is generally the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Lake Willoughby that you need to camp here for a while, Will-o-wood Campground is a wonderful site for that, and perhaps you're looking for close by lakes? | | Mountain is available from Lake Willoughby; paddling on Clyde River is so much fun. There's wonderful hiking along the Mount Pisgah Trail. High temperatures at Lake Willoughby through the summertime months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. It is a lake that talks to you, as far as my opinion goes. I lived in Newport,Newport Center (Bear Mountain) and Noth Troy when I was bewtween the ages of 9-13. I am now 42!
I just recently went back to Newport and that beautiful lake that talked to me, and i think it helped me figure out a part of my life that has been a little bit difficult to understand and move ahead.
