Sure, Duck Pond is just a very short distance away. A tremendous panorama of beautiful Valley       Mountain is available from Lake Willoughby; paddling on Clyde River is so much fun. There's wonderful hiking along the Mount Pisgah Trail. High temperatures at Lake Willoughby through the summertime months are in the 70's. Once the sun is down it falls down to the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's; nighttime lows at Lake Willoughby during the wintertime ordinarily sink into the 0's. If only every place had this much outdoors entertaining things,                  what a great earth it would be. A quick spree to Mill Brook near Lake Willoughby is a magnificent idea; Lake Willoughby is perfect enough to spend more than a day at, White Caps Campground is a perfect local campground. Good hiking is available along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail, and why not head up to Burke Mountain and strap some skis to your feet. You definitely must love the Green Mountains. Get drenched paddling on Barton River, and after a long day outdoors Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a pleasant spot to spend a night or two. These mountains rock, just explore all the cool stuff to do in the Green Mountains. You could also take a look at Blake Pond if you're here at Lake Willoughby; it's close by; Lyndon Outing Club is a very popular ski area close by. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking is a popular thing to do around Lake Willoughby; South Shore Hiking Trail is a tremendous local trail, and dry warm beds await you at Holiday Motel and Annex.
