Lake Willoughby is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. The warmest time of the year brings highs in the 70's to Lake Willoughby with overnight lows in the 50's. The cold days of the wintertime come with highs in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Lake Willoughby. This lake is so wonderful. Really nice skiing awaits you at Burke Mountain. Hiking along the       South Shore Hiking Trail is brilliant fun, and in case you don’t mind getting soaked, you can always go whitewater paddling on Clyde River. This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is good on Barton River; do take a hike on the Mount Pisgah Trail. Lake Willoughby is a good site of normal precipitation; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.                  Now, you may feel that's a heap but there's even more exciting stuff to do here in the Green Mountains. Mill Brook flows through this vicinity, and dry warm beds await you at Green Acres Cabins & Shop. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a good time here at Lake Willoughby. Valley Mountain is painless to spot from Lake Willoughby, and if you need a spot to stay Pinecrest Motor Court is a wonderful choice. And if that's not enough there's plenty more exciting stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Camping at Lake Willoughby is nice fun, White Caps Campground is a nice local campground, and you can never get enough of the great skiing at Lyndon Outing Club.
