Summer brings highs in the 70's to Wheeler Pond, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are typically in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Wheeler Pond. Lots of people from Barre come to Wheeler Pond, also Thurman W Dix Reservoir Dam is worth checking out while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at Hollow Inn and Motel, and the summit of Cobble Hill can be seen from

If you need a place to stay Days Inn Barre Montpelier is a tremendous choice; hiking along the Kettle Pond Trail is magnificent fun. Don't stop me now, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Wheeler Pond. Country Club of Barre is a great golf course close by. If you love the outdoors you'll love it here in the Green Mountains. City Municipal Forest, and get your heart beating on the great whitewater of Minister Brook. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Wheeler Pond. If you came for an overnight stay Onion River Campground
is a wonderful location to camp, and lakes are such serene places, why not go to Thurman W. Dix Reservoir. Camping is available at Lazy Lions Campground, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Owls Head Trail. This
lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everybody but if it's for you then we recommend Winooski River, and going for a hike along the Silver Ledge Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity. The annual
rainfall here at Wheeler Pond is about average; the wettest month of the year is frequently August, that's the one that rains the most; February is when it's the driest. This place, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors fun things.
Don't forget to take a good little journey to Baker Brook; you'll hit upon a delightful lake called Orange Reservoir.
