Bomoseen State Park Campground is a great local campground; dry warm beds await you at Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites. A lake close by is Lake Hortonia, and going for a hike along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. An average amount of precipitation falls at Wheeler Pond; during August this area sees the most rain; the driest of the months is February. This lake is       so wonderful. Don't forget to check out O'Brien Point if you're here at Wheeler Pond; if you need a location to stay Ticonderoga - Super 8 Motel is a great choice. There's just no way somebody can get bored here at Wheeler Pond. Not far from Wheeler Pond you can enjoy the trees of Fair Haven Municipal Forest, and Half Moon State Park Campground is a good campground nearby. Summer brings highs in the 80's to Wheeler Pond. Throughout the moonlight hours it's frequently                  in the 50's. Daytime highs during the winter are in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Wheeler Pond. Be careful coming to Wheeler Pond, you might not ever wanna go back home again. Lake Bomoseen is a nearby lake that you could have a look at. Get dripping wet paddling on Poultney River, and there are plenty of folks from Rutland here. This lake is so wonderful. Glen Lake Dam has great water scenery and it's near Wheeler Pond, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Half Moon Pond Trail. The panorama of Cedar Mountain from Wheeler Pond is stunning, and hiking along the Glen Lake Trail is great fun.
