This lake is so wonderful. Wheeler Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Half Moon State Park Campground is a great local campground, and not far from Wheeler Pond you'll discover Glen Lake which is a scenic lake. This
lake is so wonderful. Here at Wheeler Pond you'll most likely meet some people from Rutland, and O'Brien Point is reasonably close. Be careful coming to Wheeler Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. Best Western
Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a great spot to get some rest. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Wheeler Pond. Go for a hike on the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and do stop by Glen Lake Dam since you're here. An average amount
of precipitation falls at Wheeler Pond; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest. Going for a hike on the Glen Lake Trail is always a great adventure; glide down the rapids of Poultney River in a kayak.

Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.
The folks who look after the campground and all the nice pastime activities will make you feel at home. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next to Country Village Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is close.
If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south.
