Wheeler Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Half Moon State Park Campground is a great local campground, and not far from Wheeler Pond you'll discover Glen Lake which is a scenic lake. This lake is so wonderful. Here at Wheeler Pond you'll most likely meet some people from Rutland, and O'Brien Point is reasonably close. Be careful coming to Wheeler Pond, you might not ever want to return back home again. Best Western Ticonderoga Inn & Suites is a great spot to get some rest. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Wheeler Pond. Go for a hike on the Bomoseen Hiking Loop, and do stop by Glen Lake Dam since you're here. An average amount of precipitation falls at Wheeler Pond; the month with most of the rain is August, and February on the other hand is the driest.
