     A typical amount of rain falls here at Waterman Pond; the wettest month of the year is mostly August, that's the one that rains the most; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail is perfect fun, and you can stay the night at Injun Joe Court. This lake is so wonderful. If the weather is brilliant here at Waterman Pond, you can go for a hike along the South Shore Hiking Trail, and an afternoon  
   playing golf at Kirby Country Club is always a delight.
After a long day outdoors Fairbanks Inn is a glorious spot to spend a night or two, and Sugar Ridge RV Village & Camp is a wonderful campground nearby. So much enjoyable stuff to do here at Waterman Pond, too wonderful to be true. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Moose River; the snow is great at Lyndon Outing Club. For the period of the summertime highs here at Waterman Pond get into the 70's, and
 
               through the night it cools down to the 50's. All through the wintertime this place gets highs in the 20's; nighttime lows during the winter for Waterman Pond tend to be in the 0's.
Getting to Badger Brook from Waterman Pond is simple, and lakes are such serene locations, why not stop at Chandler Pond. Having a pleasant time in the Green Mountains is painless. If you need a location to stay Holiday Motel and Annex is a splendid choice; you'll come across a delightful lake called Stannard Pond. If you like skiing, you're in luck; Burke Mountain is right next door to Waterman Pond.
But wait, there's more entertaining stuff to do in the Green Mountains. Going for a hike along the Peacham Bog Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this vicinity; soar down the rapids of Joe's Brook River in a kayak. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains.

We have been campers on Ticklenaked Pond for 30 plus years and love it's pristine water and oh yes....the loons. We have now been seasonal campers for 8 years and plan on many more. This is a wonderful family campground with much to enjoy such as a fishing derby for the kids, pot luck dinners, karaoke, live bands at least a couple of times during the season, paddle boats to rent, swimming, boating, hot showers and many, many, wonderful folks.
The proprietors, Harry and Sandy Cushing are great hosts. Come join us for a night, a weekend or for the season.
