There are tremendous spots to explore along the Bomoseen Hiking Loop; if you don’t have a problem getting dripping wet, you can always go whitewater paddling on Otter Creek. The annual rain here at Walker Pond is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Ganson Hill is easy to spot from Walker Pond; Clarendon River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. Nearby lakes? Sure, Mudd Pond

Why not camp at Country Village Campgrounds if you're here at Walker Pond, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial. This lake is so wonderful.
