The annual rain here at Walker Pond is about average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain, and the driest month is February. Ganson Hill is easy to spot from Walker Pond; Clarendon River has a splendid whitewater paddling spot close by. Nearby lakes? Sure, Mudd Pond       is near Walker Pond, and do pop by Walker Pond Dam while you're here. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Country Village Campgrounds if you're here at Walker Pond, and there is a great hiking trail nearby called the Daniel Coffey Memorial Trial. This lake is so wonderful. Enjoy a round of golf at Neshobe Golf Club not far from Walker Pond, and if you need a site to stay Highlander Motel is a good choice. Man, is there lots of fun stuff to do in close                  proximity to Walker Pond. If you're dropping by Walker Pond from Rutland, you won't be the only one, and going for a hike on the Half Moon Pond Trail is always a good adventure. Dry warm beds await you at Rutland Killington Red Roof Inn. Summertime brings highs in the 80's to Walker Pond. During the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with temperatures at Walker Pond dipping down into the 0's all through winter nights.
