The amount of precipitation that falls at Walker Pond is close to the national average; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is regularly the driest month. The Red Pine Trail is a good hiking trail in close proximity to Walker Pond, and get your heart pumping on the perfect whitewater of Moose River. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Clyde River for all you       adrenaline junkies, and camping at White Caps Campground is always a pleasant experience. High temperatures at Walker Pond during the warm days of summer are in the 70's with night lows in the 50's. Throughout the wintertime highs are regularly in the 20's while Walker Pond overnight low temperatures during the wintertime are in the 0's. Life's too short to enjoy all the fun stuff in the Green Mountains. McKinley Brook is a fine site to check out, and if you                  need a place to stay Random House is a fine choice. This lake is so wonderful. Lyndon Outing Club has nice slopes and a friendly staff, and dry warm beds await you at Clyde River Hotel. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. So much entertaining stuff in the Green Mountains, just mind-boggling. Walker Pond is pleasant enough to spend more than a day at, Burke Mountain Campgrounds is a pleasant local campground, and the peak of Meehan Hill can be observed from Walker Pond. Now, you may assume that's a lot but there's even more enjoyable stuff to do here at Walker Pond. There are other places here than Walker Pond, for example Beck Pond, and there is a great hiking trail close by called the Loggers Loop Trail.
