This site, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors enjoyable things. If you come at the right time of year, Ottauquechee River offers some delightful whitewater, and the skiing at Suicide Six is nice. Atwood Brook is a stream that you may bump into while here, and there's magnificent hiking along the Mount Peg Foot and Bridal Trails. Vondell Reservoir is not the only place close by, Line Pond       is a close by lake, and a perfect place to camp here at Vondell Reservoir is Silver Lake State Park. So much cool stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. The Barnard Trail offers hiking at its best; after a long day outdoors Woodstock Inn And Resort is a wonderful place to spend a night or two. During the summertime, highs generally are in the 70's at Vondell Reservoir. Throughout the moonlight hours it's regularly in the 50's. For the period                  of the winter the highs are commonly in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Vondell Reservoir are in the 0's. Vondell Reservoir Dam is pretty and it's right next door to Vondell Reservoir, and Vondell Reservoir is right by the Hang Glider Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit White River, and everyone close by loves skiing at Twin Farms. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Vondell Reservoir is glorious enough to spend more than a day at, Silver Lake Family Campground is a glorious local campground; The Woodstock Inn & Resort is a nice place to get some rest. Man, is there plenty of enjoyable things to do near Vondell Reservoir. The high level of rainfall makes Vondell Reservoir a quite wet place; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain, and February is when it's the driest. Not enough hours in a day to enjoy this place.
