You'll locate a picturesque lake called The Pogue near View Pond, and going       for a hike on the Hang Glider Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is so wonderful. Get soaked paddling on Ottauquechee River, and why not a little side journey to Kedron Brook. Drift down the rapids of White River in a kayak, and Pine Valley Resort Campground is a delightful local campground. That right there is lots of cool things already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. Lakes are such peaceful locations, why not go to Carlton Reservoir close to View Pond, and at View Pond you can make out Baylies Hill. The beauty of mother nature reveals herself at Dreer Spring, and if you came for an overnight stay Silver Lake Family Campground is a splendid spot to camp. Throughout the warm months here at View Pond, high temperatures commonly reach the 70's. Summer night lows fall down to the 50's. The winter brings highs down to the 20's, and nighttime lows in the 0's for View Pond. View Pond is a rather wet place commonly with a good deal of rainfall; the wettest month of the year is commonly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is typically the driest month. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the enjoyable stuff in the Green Mountains.
