     Vatters Pond is always a pleasure to visit. All year is a great time in the Green Mountains if you have a thing about the outdoors. Dry Pond is a nearby lake that you could explore, and the Bear Hill Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. Vatters Pond is a glorious location to visit for more than one day, Limehurst Lake is a glorious location to camp nearby, and a great forest close by is Northfield Municipal Forest. Vatters Pond is located in the Green Mountains.
 
   All through the warm days of summer highs here at Vatters Pond reach the 70's. Through the dark hours of summer temperatures descend down into the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are generally in the 20's with temperatures at Vatters Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights. Vatters Pond gets a common amount of rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August while February is usually the driest month. This lake is so wonderful. Stay the  
               night at Lake Champagne Campground; going for a hike on the Stevenson Brook Trail is always a nice adventure.
Just can't get enough of Vatters Pond. If you get bored of Vatters Pond, you could also stop at nearby Wardner Pond, and paddling on Mad River is so much fun. Life's too short to enjoy all the entertaining stuff in the Green Mountains. At Vatters Pond you always meet someone from Barre, and you can observe Paine Mountain from Vatters Pond. So much cool stuff to do at Vatters Pond, so little time.
This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent close by hotel is Hilltop Inn; there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at close by Twin Farms. Really wonderful skiing awaits you at Stowe, and soar down the rapids of Winooski River in a kayak. If you need a place to stay Comfort Inn At Maplewood is a great choice; nearby you hit upon the Hedgehop Hill Loop Trail which is a great hiking trail.
