Through the wintertime highs are mostly in the 20's, and all through the dark hours in the wintertime at Vatters Pond temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Hilltop Inn is a good spot to spend a night or two; why not take a refreshing hike along the Stevenson Brook Trail. But wait, there's more to       do close to Vatters Pond. A day on the slopes of Stowe is just what you need, and Vatters Pond is a location with many visitors from Barre. Here at Vatters Pond you can see Paine Mountain. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Vatters Pond has to offer, you can camp at Limehurst Lake. All the outdoors enjoyable things in the Green Mountains will keep you coming back again and again. The Hedgehop Hill Loop Trail offers hiking at its best. Lakes                  are brilliant; Wardner Pond is a lake that's close to Vatters Pond. Just can't get enough of Vatters Pond. Northfield Municipal Forest is a glorious local forest, and the skiing at Twin Farms is good. Yeah, come up here to the Green Mountains for a glorious time. There are some fine whitewater spots on Mad River. There's so much to do here at Vatters Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Lake Champagne Campground is a brilliant spot for that. This lake is so wonderful. There's whitewater on Winooski River for all you thrill seekers, and needless to say, this is a glorious vicinity for folks who like lakes, Dry Pond is a lake around here. Comfort Inn & Suites at Maplewood is a tremendous location to get some rest, and hiking is a popular thing to do around Vatters Pond; Bear Hill Trail is a nice local trail. This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains.
