Valley Lake is a very beautiful lake in beautiful surroundings. Through the summer months here at Valley Lake, high temperatures regularly reach the 80's. Summer nighttime lows sink down to the 50's. For the duration of the wintertime highs are typically in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the winter at Valley Lake temperatures fall to the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. | | take a hike on the Kettle Pond Trail. Valley Lake is a wet spot that gets a lot of precipitation; August is when you get the most rain here while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Green Mountains. Going for a hike along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop will let you absorb the natural beauty of this region, and Valley Lake is a glorious location to camp, Idle Hours Campground is a glorious | |

location. This lake is so wonderful. Hiking along the Owls Head Trail is great fun, and dry warm beds await you at Village Motel. Just can't get enough of Valley Lake. Head up to Stowe and strap some skis to your feet; you can stay
the night at Spooners Trailer Park and Campground. Valley Lake Dam is worth a visit if you're here, and you can catch a glimpse of Woodbury Mountain from Valley Lake. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Winooski River, and some
nearby water includes Buck Lake Brook. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains. So many amusing things to do at Valley Lake, so little time. So much enjoyable stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not enough
time. If you need a location to stay Inn On The Common is a good choice; this is a popular place for folks from Barre. If you come at the right time of year, Lamoille River - Wild Branch offers some great whitewater; if you've had enough of Valley Lake, Cranberry Meadow Pond is nearby.
