A visit to Twin Ponds is always a good idea. Take a hike on the Bear Hill Trail; fine skiing awaits you at Suicide Six. If you want a brilliant time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. Not far from Twin Ponds, you'll hit upon Staples Pond which is a charming lake, and camping is available at Lake Champagne Campground. This is a popular place for folks from Barre; whitewater paddling is glorious on White River. This lake is so wonderful.
