    Turtlehead Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. And that's not everything there is to do here in the Green Mountains. Hiking along the Osmore Pond Hiking Loop is tremendous fun. Whohoo, so many entertaining things in one place! Turtlehead Pond is peerless! Mollys Falls is an inspiring place to stop by while here, and do set aside some time for Cream Pot Meadow since you're here at Turtlehead Pond. Turtlehead Pond is fine enough to spend  
   more than a day at, Larry and Sons Campground is a fine local campground, and after a long day outdoors Barre-Days Inn Barre/Montpelier is a splendid location to spend a night or two.
Turtlehead Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. You're possibly into lakes, Kettle Pond is one of those close by, and Turtlehead Pond is right by the Owls Head Trail. This lake is so wonderful. Joe's Brook River is a magnificent whitewater
 
               spot near Turtlehead Pond, and nothing beats kicking back at Boulder Beach.
You can run the rapids of Winooski River in close proximity to Turtlehead Pond, also Bailey Pond Dam is worth visiting since you're here. Life's too short to enjoy all the cool things in the Green Mountains. Burnt Mountain is a peak you can catch a glimpse of from Turtlehead Pond; a brilliant spot to camp here at Turtlehead Pond is New Discovery Campground. There are plenty of people from Barre here at Turtlehead Pond; why not take a refreshing hike along the Kettle Pond Trail.
All the outdoors amusing stuff near Turtlehead Pond will keep you coming back again and again. Marshfield Municipal Forest is a forest close to Turtlehead Pond that you can go to; if you need a site to stay Hollow Inn and Motel is a pleasant choice. A normal amount of precipitation falls here at Turtlehead Pond; through the month of August you get the most rain around here, and February on the other hand is the driest. Throughout the summer months at Turtlehead Pond highs are frequently in the 70's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. High temperatures during the winter are normally in the 20's while Turtlehead Pond overnight low temperatures through the wintertime are in the 0's.
So many exciting things in the Green Mountains, just tremendous. If you're a golfer then a great close by course is Woodbury Golf Course, and perhaps you're looking for nearby lakes? Sure, Bailey Pond is just a very short distance away.

We have been campers on Ticklenaked Pond for 30 plus years and love it's pristine water and oh yes....the loons. We have now been seasonal campers for 8 years and plan on many more. This is a wonderful family campground with much to enjoy such as a fishing derby for the kids, pot luck dinners, karaoke, live bands at least a couple of times during the season, paddle boats to rent, swimming, boating, hot showers and many, many, wonderful folks.
The proprietors, Harry and Sandy Cushing are great hosts. Come join us for a night, a weekend or for the season.
