Take a hike on the Mount Pisgah East Trail, and while you're here you can take a hike along the Gore Trail. Get covered with water paddling on Nulhegan River, and if you need a spot to stay Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area is a nice choice. This lake is so wonderful. A pleasant swamp close to Turtle Pond is The Loon Hole, and whitewater paddling is fine on Clyde River.       The warmest time of the year at Turtle Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's. For the duration of the moonlight hours it's generally in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Turtle Pond are in the 0's. Why not camp at Char- BO Campground since you're here at Turtle Pond, and beautiful scenery and perfect skiing is what you get at Burke Mountain. Have a good hiking adventure along the Mount Gore Trail, and                  Char-Bo Campground is a pleasant local campground.
