Do stop by Toad Pond while you're in this part of Vermont. You just can't imagine the amount of outdoors enjoyable stuff the Green Mountains has to offer. After a long day outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a great site to spend a night or two, and Moody Brook is close to Toad Pond and is always a diversion to stop by. This lake is so wonderful. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Clyde River; while you're here you can take a hike along the South Shore Hiking

| | Trail. Toad Pond gets a normal amount of annual rainfall; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest of the months is February.
The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. Toad Pond is near Pensioner Pond Dam which is a gorgeous spot absolutely worth stopping at; if you get bored of Toad Pond you could also pop by close by Pensioner Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Beach, and Will-o-wood Campground is a nice campground nearby.
Having a splendid time in the Green Mountains is painless. Toad Pond is a fine place to visit for more than one day, Chargo Campground is a fine place to camp nearby;
the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Lyndon Outing Club. If only every place had this much outdoors enjoyable stuff, what a great world it would be. A nice close by hotel is Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area,
and going for a hike along the Mount Pisgah Trail will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area. A lake nearby is Lubber Lake, and you can hit the slopes at Burke Mountain in the neighborhood.
Throughout the long summer
days highs here at Toad Pond get into the 70's; all through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. High temperatures all through the wintertime are normally in the 20's, and after the sun is down through the wintertime temperatures
at Toad Pond descend into the 0's. And if that's not sufficient, there's plenty more to do near Toad Pond. There are some fine whitewater spots on Barton River, and if the weather is brilliant, you can go for a hike along the Pisgah Trail.
