If you need a spot to stay Best Value Inn Pownal/Williamstown is a perfect choice, and if you came to camp Merck Forest Foundation is a great location to do that. yourself if you don’t go skiing at Mount Greylock Ski Club while you're here. Lakes are great; South Stream Pond is a lake that's close to Thompsons Pond. This lake is so wonderful. You can never get enough of the glorious skiing
at Jiminy Peak, and going for a hike on the Williams Trail is always a nice adventure. The Dome can be made out from Thompsons Pond, and there is a fine hiking trail nearby called the Bald Mountain Trail. All through the months of
summer at Thompsons Pond temperatures are generally in the 80's. For the period of the moonlight hours it's typically in the 50's. During the wintertime the highs are usually in the 30's while Thompsons Pond night low temperatures
through the winter are in the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. Dry warm beds await you at The Villager Motel; the Taconic Crest Trail is a fine hiking trail close by.
