I can't stop, cause I'm havin' a perfect time here at Thompsons Pond. Camping at Merck Forest Foundation is always a tremendous experience, and after a long day outdoors Cozy Corner Motel is a fine location to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. Jiminy Peak is a very popular ski area close by, and there is a glorious hiking trail close by called the Taconic Crest Trail. This lake is so wonderful.       Thompsons Pond is brilliant enough to spend more than a day at, Shady Acres Campground is a brilliant local campground, and Green Valley Motel is a great site to get some rest. A normal amount of rain falls here at Thompsons Pond; most of the rain falls during August, and February is when it's the driest. The panorama of wonderful The Dome near Thompsons Pond is glorious, and you can go for a hike on the Williams Trail. There's some out of the ordinary stuff                  to catch a sight of at Thompsons Pond Upper Dam near Thompsons Pond, and a lake close by is Barber Pond. You're sure to come across some friendly people from Bennington here. Mount Greylock Ski Club has splendid slopes and a friendly staff; you can run the rapids of Green River. Walloomsac River is a pleasant whitewater spot close to Thompsons Pond; going for a hike on the Bald Mountain Trail is always a nice adventure. Summertime highs at Thompsons Pond usually tend to be in the 80's while nighttime lows are regularly in the 50's.
