    In Vermont there are many beautiful lakes, Thompsons Pond is one of them. You can run the rapids of Walloomsac River near Thompsons Pond, and the top of The Dome is easily made out from Thompsons Pond. Thompsons Pond is a good place of common precipitation; most of the rain falls during August, and February on the other hand is the driest. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the amusing stuff at Thompsons Pond. While you're here at Thompsons Pond  
   you can take a hike along the Taconic Crest Trail, and Howard Johnson Williamstown is a delightful place to get some rest.
Thompsons Pond Upper Dam has fine water scenery and it's right next door to Thompsons Pond; you'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Jiminy Peak if you're here. For the duration of the summer months at Thompsons Pond highs are mostly in the 80's. During the moonlight hours it's frequently in the 50's. The wintertime comes
 
               with highs in the 30's with temperatures at Thompsons Pond dipping down into the 0's through winter nights.
Thompsons Pond is a place with many visitors from Bennington, and there is a magnificent hiking trail nearby called the Williams Trail. This lake is so wonderful. You'll need more than a day to discover everything Thompsons Pond has to offer, you can camp at Merck Forest Foundation, and there's whitewater on Green River for all you adrenaline kick people. Stay the night at Shady Acres Campground; if you need a spot to stay Orchards Hotel is a pleasant choice.
This lake is so wonderful. Very beautiful scenery and magnificent skiing is what you get at Mount Greylock Ski Club, and on a brilliant day you can take a hike along the Bald Mountain Trail.
