Lake Dunmore is a great lake near Swamp Pond, and get yourself into a kayak and hit Otter Creek. Take a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail, and if you came for an overnight stay Smoke Rise Family Campground is a tremendous site to camp. There's some flowing water close by, Arnold Brook is a stream you can have a look at while you're here, and Swamp Pond is not far at all from Rutland. You just can't envision the amount of outdoors amusing stuff the area close to

| | Swamp Pond has to offer. Enjoy a round of golf at Neshobe Golf Club not far from Swamp Pond, and after a long day outdoors Courtyard Middlebury is a great site to spend a night or two. This lake is so wonderful. The sight of Bald Hill from Swamp Pond is picturesque, and there are other locations here than Swamp Pond, for example Huff Pond. to pop by. Lake Dunmore Kampersville is a great local campground; dry warm beds await you at The Middlebury Inn. This lake is so wonderful. Have a good hiking adventure along the Chandler Ridge Trail, and if you come at the right
time of year, Middlebury River offers some delightful whitewater. High temperatures at Swamp Pond throughout the summer months are in the 80's, and the nighttime is rather colder of course, typically in the 50's. The cold days of the winter come with highs in the 20's with winter lows in the 0's overnight here at Swamp Pond.
