If you are in Addison county it's always a good idea to stop by Swamp Pond. If you need a place to stay The Middlebury Inn is a magnificent choice. You'll need more than a day to explore everything Swamp Pond has to offer, you can camp at Lake Dunmore Kampersville. You just can't picture the amount of outdoors entertaining things the area near Swamp Pond has to offer. Nearby lakes? Swamp Pond is a perfect place to visit for more than one day, Smoke Rise Family Campground is a perfect place to camp nearby, naturally you could also have a look at Huff Pond since you're here; it's not far at all. the highs are generally in the 20's while the cold winter nights at Swamp Pond are in the 0's. The summit of Bald Hill can be distinguished from Swamp Pond; Neshobe Golf Club is a splendid golf course close by. Here at Swamp Pond
you'll most likely meet some folks from Rutland; whitewater paddling is perfect on Middlebury River. Going for a hike on the Nature Trail is always a glorious adventure, and brilliant hiking is available along the Chandler Ridge Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. Go for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail; in case you don’t have a problem getting covered with water, you can always go whitewater paddling on Otter Creek. Swamp Pond gets a common amount of yearly
rainfall; August is the month that gets the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. Swamps can be such out of the ordinary places, go to Brandon Swamp since you're here at Swamp Pond, and after a long day outdoors Courtyard By Marriott Middlebury is a fine spot to spend a night or two.

Country Village Campgrounds

Getting to Neshobe River from Country Village Campground is simple, and Middlebury River has a great whitewater paddling spot nearby.
Outdoor recreation is bountiful, some of the enjoyable stuff you can do is swimming, playing golf at Neshobe Golf Club, whitewater paddling, hiking, and fishing, so you won’t run out of things to do.
The folks who look after the campground and all the nice pastime activities will make you feel at home. Quite a lot of cool stuff to do next to Country Village Campground, and it's one of those places where everything is close.
If only every location had this much outdoor entertaining stuff, what a great planet it would be. A tremendous place like Half Moon Pond State Park is near Country Village Campground and is too wonderful to leave out, and going for a hike on the Falls of Lana Trail is always a perfect adventure. All through the warm days of summer at Country Village Campground highs are mostly in the 80's, and through the night it cools down to the 50's. The win... |

Keewaydin Trail
 | White Rocks,great trail 0.8 miles up. Trails interstect with AT, check map before you go up. Two water falls on the left. First one could be risky to see always a wet gorge. Second is off the AT a short way. At the top is a rock art garden where a sign for White Rocks cliff trail 0.2 to overlook, great view west north and south. The peak was quite higher at one time in the past. Looking down over the cliff edge are three seperate rock falls which is the old peak.... |

 | 15 miles away 4 PHOTOS Easy going trail from Mt Tabor to Rocky Pond, a 4 mile round trip, 1 1/2 to 2 hour hike. The hike is well worth seeing this breath taking pond. Very secluded & peaceful with tent sites and one or two shelters. Over night stays are 5.00 per person, per night. If you love 'roughing it' camping, this is a great place to go.
