Why not stop by Sukes Pond if you're passing through these parts. This lake is so wonderful. Sukes Pond is right by the Red Pine Trail, and Lyndon Outing Club has good slopes and a friendly staff. These mountains rock, just check out all the cool things to do in the Green Mountains. Fairbanks Inn is a great location to get some rest; Mud Pond is a tremendous lake close by. There's whitewater on Clyde River for all you adrenaline junkies; great skiing awaits

Summer at Sukes Pond arrives with high temperatures in the 70's. When the night sets in temperatures drop down into the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's, and after the sun is down during the wintertime temperatures at Sukes Pond plunge into the 0's. That right there is lots already, but it goes on; Sukes Pond has it all. If you need a place to stay Holiday Motel and Annex is a good choice; if you came for an overnight | |

stay Lakeside Camping Area is a pleasant place to camp. Why not camp at Burke Mountain Campgrounds while you're here at Sukes Pond, and getting to McKinley Brook from Sukes Pond is uncomplicated.
The Green Mountains scenery is
always beautiful. A common amount of rain falls here at Sukes Pond; August is the wettest month with most rain, and the driest month of the year is February.
If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the
Green Mountains. Take a hike on the Loggers Loop Trail, and get your heart beating on the nice whitewater of Nulhegan River. This lake is so wonderful. You get a great view of Haystack Hill from Sukes Pond; why not take a refreshing hike along the Shore Trail.
