The top of Cox Mountain is easily seen from Sugar Hollow Pond, and don't leave Sugar Hollow Pond without first going for a hike along the Duval Trail. Not far from Sugar Hollow Pond, you'll discover Sugar Hollow Pond which is a scenic lake, and the Chandler Ridge Trail offers hiking at its best. This lake is so wonderful. You'll never forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Pico Mountain since you're here, and enjoy       a round of golf at Proctor-Pittsford Country Club. And that's not all you can do here at Sugar Hollow Pond. Sugar Hollow Pond is a beautiful lake in the Green Mountains. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Green Mountains. Lakes? Sure, Smith Pond is in the neighborhood; if you come at the right time of year, Clarendon River offers some good whitewater. Yep, outdoors entertaining stuff truly is bountiful here in the Green Mountains. A great close                  by hotel is Mountain Top Inn and Resort; there are some nice whitewater spots on Otter Creek. This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Highlander Motel is a splendid place to spend a night or two, and there's perfect hiking along the Leicester Hollow Trail. All through the warmest time of the year, highs mostly are in the 80's at Sugar Hollow Pond. Summer nighttime lows drop down to the 50's. Highs through the wintertime are commonly in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Sugar Hollow Pond. Sugar Hollow Pond is a good place of normal precipitation; the wettest month of the year is regularly August, that's the one that rains the most while February is regularly the driest month. You'll meet a lot of people from Rutland here; camping at Country Village Campgrounds is always a good experience.
