This place, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing things. Very scenic scenery and wonderful skiing is what you get at Killington, and if you came to camp Hapgood Pond - Green Mountain National Forest is a wonderful location to do that. If you need a site to stay Highlander Motel is a pleasant choice, and why not take a little spree to Furnace Brook if you're here. Sugar Hollow Pond really       is in the middle of a wonderful outdoors paradise. Near Sugar Hollow Pond you come across the Duval Trail which is a wonderful hiking trail. This lake is so wonderful. Lakes are magnificent; Butler Pond is a lake that's in the neighborhood of Sugar Hollow Pond; if you're dropping by from Rutland, you won't be the only one. The annual precipitation here at Sugar Hollow Pond is about average; August is the month that gets the most rain; February is the month                  with the least moisture. What a place this is for outdoors folks. While you're here at Sugar Hollow Pond you can play some golf at Proctor-Pittsford Country Club; the summit of Cox Mountain can be distinguished from Sugar Hollow Pond. Sugar Hollow Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. High temperatures at Sugar Hollow Pond throughout the warm months are in the 80's, and through summer nights temperatures are in the 50's. For the duration of the winter this place gets highs in the 20's, and through the dark hours in the wintertime at Sugar Hollow Pond temperatures sink to the 0's. Get yourself into a kayak and hit Otter Creek, and after a long day outdoors Mountain Top Inn and Resort is a tremendous place to spend a night or two. Gotta ski! Pico Mountain is a good place to do that; going for a hike on the New Boston Trail is always a good adventure. So much cool stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not enough time. You're possibly into lakes, Smith Pond is one of those close by, and there are great places to explore along the Leicester Hollow Trail. This lake is so wonderful.
