    If you like lakes and you're in this part of Vermont you can check out Stratton Mountain Lake. There's so much to do here at Stratton Mountain Lake that you need to camp here for a while, Campground C is a good site for that, and you can hit the slopes at Stratton close at hand. This place, the Green Mountains, has so much outdoors amusing stuff. You'll meet a lot of people from Bennington here, and Three Mountain Inn is a fine spot to get some rest. This  
   lake is so wonderful. If you need a site to stay Alpenrose Inn is a great choice.
The high level of rainfall makes Stratton Mountain Lake a pretty wet site; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation. Summertime highs at Stratton Mountain Lake commonly tend to be in the 80's with overnight lows in the 50's. All through the wintertime the highs are frequently in the 30's, and nighttime lows
 
               in the 0's for Stratton Mountain Lake. You completely have to love Stratton Mountain Lake. Very splendid water scenery is available at Stratton Mountain Lake Dam next to Stratton Mountain Lake, and the Cooridor 7 is a glorious hiking trail nearby.
So much amusing stuff to do in the Green Mountains, not sufficient time. You'll need more than a day to look at everything Stratton Mountain Lake has to offer, you can camp at Maryville Campground and Gift Shop, and get your pulse rate up on the tremendous whitewater of Winhall River. This lake is so wonderful. A magnificent place for whitewater paddling in the neighborhood of Stratton Mountain Lake is Ball Mountain Brook, and going for a hike on the Deerfield Trail is always a fine adventure. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains.
Bromley is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and there is a nice hiking trail close by called the Jones Brook Trail.
