    What a nice lake Stoughton Pond is. Yep, outdoors cool things truly is bountiful here in the Green Mountains. You get a good view of Butterfield Hill from Stoughton Pond, and Williams River is a brilliant whitewater spot nearby. If you want a great time in the great outdoors just come on up to the Green Mountains. Skiing at Suicide Six is one of those things you just should do. Any time is a pleasant time at Stoughton Pond if you adore the outdoors. You'll never  
   forgive yourself if you don’t go skiing at Ascutney since you're here; a magnificent nearby hotel is Holiday Inn Club Vacations AT ASCUTNEY MOUNTAIN RESORT.
This lake is so wonderful. A quick journey to North Branch Black River close to Stoughton Pond is a pleasant idea; not far from Stoughton Pond you'll stumble on Springfield Reservoir which is a wonderful lake. Since you're here at Stoughton Pond why not stop at The Gulf, and a pleasant spot for whitewater
 
               paddling is Black River. There's no way anyone can get bored here in the Green Mountains. Good hiking is available along the Hang Glider Trail; if you came for an overnight stay Crown Point Camping Area is a splendid site to camp.
Hiking is a popular thing to do around Stoughton Pond; Futures Trail is a tremendous local trail, and for you golfers we recommend nearby Crown Point Country Club. At Stoughton Pond during the summertime months highs are in the 80's. Once the sun is down it sinks down to the 50's. High temperatures throughout the winter are normally in the 30's, and overnight lows in the 10's for Stoughton Pond. This lake is so wonderful. There's perfect hiking along the Slot Trail, and since you might be in a lake visiting mood you can always take a look at close by Stoughton Pond.
Why not go to Springfield Reservoir Dam since you're here; Hidden Valley Campgrounds is a tremendous campground nearby. There's just no way anybody can get bored here at Stoughton Pond. Holiday Inn Express Springfield, Vt is a brilliant spot to get some rest, and close by you'll come across a wooded region called Weathersfield Municipal Forest. Stoughton Pond is located in the Green Mountains.
The high level of rain makes Stoughton Pond a relatively wet place; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain while February is usually the driest month.
