    The beauty of Stillwater Pond is reason enough to stop by. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting things in the Green Mountains. If the weather is good here at Stillwater Pond, you can go for a hike along the Shore Trail, and everyone close by loves skiing at Burke Mountain. For the duration of the long summer days highs here at Stillwater Pond get into the 70's. Summer nighttime lows plunge down to the 50's. Throughout the winter  
   highs are in the 20's, and winter nights come with lows in the 0's to Stillwater Pond. From a precipitation point of view Stillwater Pond is a relatively normal place; August is the wettest month with most rain; the driest of the months is February.
This lake is located in the wonderful Green Mountains. You could also stop by Underpass Pond since you're here at Stillwater Pond; it's close by, and on a fine day you can take a hike along the Red Pine Trail.
 
               Just can't get enough of Stillwater Pond. The top of Bear Hill is easily made out from Stillwater Pond; there are some glorious whitewater spots on Nulhegan River.
A nice nearby hotel is Super 8 Motel - Derby/Newport Area. This lake is so wonderful. Stillwater Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, White Caps Campground is a good local campground; if you come at the right time of year, Clyde River offers some wonderful whitewater. That right there is a load of cool things already but it goes on, the Green Mountains has it all. There's so much to do here at Stillwater Pond that you need to camp here for a while, White Caps Campground is a great site for that, and there is a delightful hiking trail nearby called the Main Trail.
This lake is so wonderful. After a long day outdoors Holiday Motel and Annex is a great place to spend a night or two, and a lake nearby is Mud Ponds. Why not stop by nearby Cold Brook if you're here at Stillwater Pond, and the slopes of Lyndon Outing Club are so inviting nobody can resist.
