Sterling Pond is a great lake in an area with lots of outdoors fun all around. The Green Mountains scenery is always beautiful. The region where Sterling Pond is, is dominated by the Sterling Range; playing golf is lots of fun at Stowe Country Club. There's no way someone can get bored here in the Green Mountains. The best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of close by Smugglers Notch, and do take some time to have a look at Morristown Municipal Forest

On a great day at Sterling Pond you can take a hike along the Haselton Trail, and if you need a place to stay Stowe Mountain Lodge is a tremendous choice. Near Sterling Pond you hit upon good sites like Chilcoot Pass; Madonna Peak is scenic and can be seen from here. This lake is so wonderful. - West Branch, and Stowe Inn at The Mountain and Condominiums is a nice place to get some rest. Sterling Pond gets a good deal of water; the month with most of the rain is August; the driest month is February. This lake is so
wonderful. A great place for whitewater paddling right next door to Sterling Pond is Lamoille River, and while you're here at Sterling Pond, checking out Elephants Head is a must. Summertime highs at Sterling Pond frequently tend
to be in the 80's, and during the night it cools down to the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Sterling Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. If you want a great time in the
great outdoors, just come on down to Sterling Pond. Don't leave Sterling Pond without first paying a visit to Big Spring, and the Nose Dive Trail is a fine hiking trail nearby. If you want a fine time in the great outdoors just come
on up to the Green Mountains. Here at Sterling Pond there are plenty of folks from Barre. Stowe is a very popular ski area in the neighborhood, and Brewster River Campground is a great campground nearby. Yep, outdoors cool things
