Vermont has many beautiful lakes and Star Lake is one of them. Hedgehog Hill is a peak you can distinguish from Star Lake; the Utley Brook Trail is a magnificent hiking trail nearby. That right there is a heap already, but it carries on; Star Lake has it all. Lakes are tremendous; Amherst Lake is a lake that's close to Star Lake; close by you hit upon the Keewaydin Trail which is a fine hiking trail. Get your heart pumping on the fine whitewater of Big Branch,

| | and the wonderful folks of Rutland like to hang out nearby. For the duration of the long summer days at Star Lake highs are mostly in the 80's with night lows in the 50's. Highs during the winter are typically in the 30's with winter lows in the 10's overnight here at Star Lake. Hit the slopes at Killington around here, and a good nearby hotel is Winterplace on Okemo Mountain. Now, you may imagine that's a load but there's even more amusing stuff to do | |

here in the Green Mountains. Camping is available at Night Eagle Wilderness; if the weather is glorious, you can go for a hike along the Little Michigan Trail. This lake is one of the great places here in the Green Mountains.
This lake is so wonderful. Whitewater paddling is not for everyone but if it's for you then we recommend Mill River; Star Lake Dam is a lovely spot. Star Lake gets a normal amount of annual rain; August is when you get the most rain
here, and February on the other hand is the driest. This is no spot for people who don’t like to have fun. And if that's not sufficient there's loads more enjoyable things to do in the Green Mountains. Since you might be in a
lake visiting mood you can always visit close by Moses Pond, and there's no such thing as a bad day of skiing at nearby Okemo. This lake is so wonderful. Why not camp at Plymouth Village Campground if you're here at Star Lake, and if you need a spot to stay Jackson Gore Inn on Okemo Mountain is a splendid choice.
