Vermont has many beautiful lakes and Staples Pond is one of them. This lake is so wonderful. Near Staples Pond you hit upon the Kettle Pond Trail which is a good hiking trail. Nearby lakes? Sure, Cutter Pond is near Staples Pond, and if you come at the right time of year, Mad River offers some good whitewater. This lake is so wonderful. The Bear Hill Trail is a good hiking trail close to Staples Pond, and a great place to camp here at Staples Pond is Lazy

Summertime highs at Staples Pond mostly tend to be in the 70's, and the nighttime is a little chillier of course, regularly in the 50's. During the winter highs are in the 20's with temperatures at Staples Pond dipping down into the 0's throughout winter nights. Pond is good enough to spend more than a day at, Limehurst Lake is a good local campground; at Staples Pond you can see Clark Hill.
Staples Pond gets a normal amount of precipitation; the month of August is the wettest with most of the rain; February on the other hand is the driest.
