If you are in Orange county it's always a good idea to stop by Staples Pond. This lake is so wonderful. Camping at Lazy Lions Campground is always a pleasant experience; Staples Pond is great enough to spend more than a day at, Limehurst Lake is a great local campground. And that's not all there is to do here in the Green Mountains. Dry warm beds await you at Hollow Inn and Motel, and you're perhaps hooked on lakes, Limehurst Pond is one of those close by. Just can't

If you come at the right time of year, White River - First Branch offers some pleasant whitewater, and if you've had enough of Staples Pond, Cutter Pond is nearby. Summertime at Staples Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's while nighttime lows are typically in the 50's. will let you absorb the natural beauty of this area, and Comfort Inn At Maplewood is a good location to get some rest. Really great skiing awaits you at Twin Farms, and this is a popular site for people from Barre. This lake is located
in the wonderful Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. Clark Hill is clearly visible from Staples Pond, and there are some pleasant whitewater spots on Mad River. Staples Pond gets a normal amount of precipitation; during August this area sees the most rain; the driest month of the year is February.
