A visit to Staples Pond is always a good idea. Staples Pond is one of the lakes here in the Green Mountains. This lake is so wonderful. A great close by hotel is Hollow Inn and Motel; a great place close by is Williamstown Gulf. If you come at the right time of year, Mad River offers some great whitewater; if you need a place to stay Comfort Inn At Maplewood is a magnificent choice.
If you go for the outdoors you'll go for it here in the Green Mountains.

| | At Staples Pond you can distinguish Clark Hill; Staples Pond is wonderful enough to spend more than a day at, Limehurst Lake is a wonderful local campground. You'll in fact wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the exciting stuff in the Green Mountains. Limehurst Pond is a nearby lake that you could visit, and the Bear Hill Trail offers hiking at its best. are usually in the 50's. The winter comes with highs in the 20's while Staples Pond nighttime low temperatures through the winter are in the 0's.
This lake is so wonderful. Skiing at Twin Farms is one of those things you just
have to do, and Staples Pond is right by the Kettle Pond Trail. A good site to camp here at Staples Pond is Lazy Lions Campground, and the smiling folks of Barre like to hang out nearby.
This place is so good, just look at all
the exciting stuff to do in the neighborhood of Staples Pond. Get yourself into a kayak and hit White River - First Branch, and a lake close by is Twin Ponds. The annual rainfall here at Staples Pond is about average; through August this area sees the most rain while February is the month with the least amount of precipitation.
