Be careful coming to the Green Mountains, you might not ever want to return home again. Lakes are magnificent; Waterman Pond is a lake that's near Stannard Pond, and the summit of Ide Mountain can be seen from Stannard Pond. Stannard Pond is located in the Green Mountains. From a precipitation point of view Stannard Pond is a quite typical site; of all the months in a year August is the one with the most rain; February meanwhile is the driest month. This lake

| | is so wonderful. Holiday Motel and Annex is a nice spot to get some rest, and don't leave Stannard Pond without first going for a hike along the Peacham Bog Trail. Burke Mountain has wonderful slopes and a friendly staff. Summer at Stannard Pond comes with high temperatures in the 70's while overnight lows are regularly in the 50's. much to do here at Stannard Pond that you need to camp here for a while, Sugar Ridge RV Village & Camp is a tremendous place for that; if you need a location to stay Fairbanks Inn is a great choice. Stay the night at Injun Joe Court,
and you can go for a hike on the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail. There's good hiking along the South Shore Hiking Trail; perfect skiing awaits you at Lyndon Outing Club. Yeah, come up here to the Green Mountains for a perfect time.
There are some splendid whitewater spots on Barton River, and there's some flowing water close by, Stream Mill Brook is a stream you can stop at while here. Stannard Pond truly is in the middle of a lovely outdoors paradise. This
is a fine area for people who like lakes. Flagg Pond is a lake nearby, and if you come at the right time of year, Joe's Brook River offers some pleasant whitewater.
