The beauty of Stannard Pond is reason enough to stop by. Stannard Pond is located in the Green Mountains. Summertime brings highs in the 70's to Stannard Pond, and all through the night it cools down to the 50's. The wintertime brings highs down to the 20's; after the sun is down throughout the winter temperatures at Stannard Pond descend into the 0's. This lake is so wonderful. There's so much to do here at Stannard Pond that you need to camp here for a while,

| | Belview Campground is a pleasant site for that. This lake is so wonderful. Don't leave Stannard Pond without first going for a hike along the Peacham Bog Trail, and Joe's Brook River has a good whitewater paddling spot close by. You'll wish for more hours in a day to enjoy all the fun things at Stannard Pond. amount of yearly rain; August is the wettest month with most rain while February is mostly the driest month. Man, is there lots of exciting things to do in the Green Mountains. Good hiking is available along the South Shore Hiking
Trail; after a long day outdoors Hamilton House Bed & Breakfast is a magnificent place to spend a night or two. Hit the slopes at Lyndon Outing Club in the vicinity, and whitewater paddling is good on Barton River. Go for a hike on
the Herbert Hawkes Hiking Trail, and you can stay the night at Injun Joe Court. You truly should have a thing about the Green Mountains. Injun Joe Court is a fine place to get some rest, and the best way to spend a winter day is on the slopes of nearby Burke Mountain.
